Biography

Helena Leong is an artist specializing in the blending of abstract and fine art.  She loves the freedom that comes with the abstract which helps to draw out the amazing beauty of the realistic.  She works with acrylic and oil as well as watercolor.  Helena is inspired by the beauty of nature and wildlife.  She lives in Southern California in the small family community of Monrovia, CA.   Helena enjoys taking short trips to the beach, the mountains or nearby cities to relax and gain inspiration from the richness and diversity of California.

Helena is a former adult and teen art instructor beginning with line drawing and progressing through a variety of mediums.  She enjoys drawing out the potential in young and old artists and seeing them grow and mature.  Helena grew in her style by learning the basics and structure needed as an instructor which further expanded with the expression of the abstract.
